The Faith that Gets His Attention! - The Crowd Saw Jesus. This Man Saw Hope.

What if the greatest obstacle to your miracle is not your situation, but the voices telling you to stay silent?

What Is It to Believe Without Seeing?

Let’s compare our faith with the blind man on the Jericho road.

The Blind Man Who Believed Without Seeing

Faith — believing without seeing!

Jesus was on the start of His final journey to fulfill His destiny.

As Jesus was passing by, the blind man asked, “Who is this man who is going by?” He sensed that there was something special about Him as the multitudes were going along the road.

He couldn’t see, but he knew in his heart that something was going on with this man (Jesus).

When he understood from others that this was Jesus of Nazareth, he knew that Jesus could heal him.

He knew that the only way out of his helpless life was Jesus and no one else. If there was hope for his life, that hope was Jesus. He had heard about Him from others, and he believed.

The Bible says:

“And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant.”
— Luke 18:36

And when they told him that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he cried out:

“Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.”
— Luke 18:38

There were so many people on that road who knew about Jesus, but they did not believe that He could change their lives.

Maybe some of them did believe and would have tried to call Him. But the Bible says the crowd told the blind man to keep quiet. So many would have called Him, but the crowd would have silenced them.

They all missed the opportunity of a lifetime.

Not this guy.

He was determined to get His attention no matter what.

With all his might, he cried, “Jesus, Son of David!”. In spite of people stopping him, he was still able to grab His attention.

That’s the kind of worship we need.

Our worship should grab His attention no matter what your friends tell you, no matter what the doctor tells you, and no matter what the voices around you say — even if they tell you that this is the end of your life.

Your worship should be sweet incense to Him, so that He is distracted to heal you.

The Bible says:

“Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense.”
— Psalm 141:2

The blind man didn’t see Jesus, but he believed He could help him. He ensured that he reached Him before He was gone.

Today, reach Him when He is available.

When He speaks to your heart to turn away from sin, reach Him.

When He says to pray and read His Word daily, reach Him.

When He is calling you, don’t let the voices around you silence you.

Reach Him when He is available.

Your miracle, your deliverance, is just a prayer away!. But ensure that the prayer brings impact, so He comes down to honor it.

He loves to honor it when our prayers are sweet incense before Him.

The blind man could not see Jesus.

But he believed.

And because he believed, he cried out. Because he cried out, Jesus stopped. And when Jesus stopped, his life was never the same again.

“And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.”
— Luke 18:42

Faith is believing without seeing.
